Highgate Wood form: HW.11.1 Ovoid beaker - decorated
- Form: An ovoid beaker with a short everted rim with a cordon or groove high on the shoulder. There are few complete examples but the base and lower body is probably turned, as on the jars and poppy-beakers (types 4 and 12). The profiles of these vessels vary — some have a high rounded shoulder and would be rather ovoid, while others have a low shoulder and were probably rather bag-shaped. Decorated on the body with panels of barbotine dots.
- Southwark: IIIE1
- Fabric: HWC
- Phase: Phases 3 and 4.
